WILLIAM A. MASTER

William A. Master

 

Mr. William Master is the President and a founding member of RMA, and has over thirty years of experience in the areas of greenhouse gas assessments, climate action planning, clean energy programs, alternative fuel vehicle technology, diesel emission reduction projects and air quality technology. Mr. Master is a Lead Verifier qualified by the California Climate Action Registry for reporting and verifying greenhouse gas emissions inventories under the following protocols: General Reporting, Power Utility, Landfill Methane Project, and the Livestock Methane Project. His work experience covers a broad range of industrial and government sectors, electric power generation and distribution, oil and gas production and processing, landfill gas recovery systems, agriculture production and processing, transportation systems, mail and parcel delivery systems. He has extensive experience managing diesel emission reduction projects in the marine, construction, agricultural, material handling and on-road sectors. Mr. Master holds an M.S. in Biology with emphasis in environmental science from the University of Illinois and B.S. in Biology with emphasis in Systems Ecology from San Diego State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Air and Waste Management Association.

J. IVOR JOHN, PH.D.

J. Ivor John

 

Dr. Ivor John is the Vice President of Climate Change Services at RMA, with over 25 years experience in the areas of greenhouse gas assessments, atmospheric physics, air toxics review, climate change and chemical risk management. Dr. John is a Lead Verifier qualified by the California Climate Action Registry for reporting and verifying greenhouse gas emissions inventories under the following protocols: General Reporting, Power Utility, and Cement. Dr. John’s work experience covers a broad range of industrial and government sectors including water and wastewater treatment, electric power generation and transmission, oil and gas production and processing, petroleum refining, and alternative fuel vehicles. Dr. John holds a Ph.D. in atmospheric physics from the University of Wales UK and a B.S. in Physics with Meteorology from the University of Reading UK. He is a Certified Consulting Meteorologist with the America Meteorological Society, a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society, and a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

DAVE HADLET

Dave Hadlet is the Vice President of Business Development at RMA. He transferred from Lloyd’s Register following more than twenty years experience in the Lloyd’s Register Group’s management systems business stream (LRQA). With a background in the chemical and metallurgical industries, Mr. Hadlet joined LRQA as a management systems assessor and progressed through various positions in project and program management and business development. In 1990 he launched LRQA’s business operations in N. America and in the twelve years prior to his current appointment he led LRQA’s environmental and sustainability certification services in the region, including ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Responsible Care®, and verification of corporate social responsibility and related reports. Mr. Hadlet’s experience covers a broad range of industry sectors with an emphasis on process industries such as oil and gas, chemicals and food. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy from the University of Manchester, England.

RACHEL PELC

Ms. Pelc a Manager of Carbon Emissions Programs at RMA and has more than seven years experience in the areas of greenhouse gas assessments, air quality, diesel emission reduction projects, climate action planning and environmental conservation. Ms. Pelc is a Lead Verifier qualified by the California Climate Action Registry for reporting and verifying greenhouse gas emissions inventories under the following protocols: General Reporting, Verification, Power Utility, and Cement. Her work experience covers a broad range of industrial and government sectors, including electric power generation and transmission, university and college facilities, green building technology, and natural gas distribution systems. Ms. Pelc holds an M.S. in Environmental Engineering and Science from Stanford University and a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University with an emphasis in ecology and environmental conservation.

NICK FACCIOLA

Mr. Nick Facciola is a Manager of Carbon Emissions Programs at RMA and has four years experience in the areas of climate action planning, greenhouse gas assessments, diesel emission reduction projects, air quality, and clean energy. Mr. Facciola is a Lead Verifier qualified by the California Climate Action Registry for reporting and verifying greenhouse gas emissions inventories under the following protocols: General Reporting, Power Utility, Landfill Methane Project, Livestock Methane Project, and Cement. His work experience covers a broad range of industrial and government sectors including mail and parcel delivery systems, local and federal agencies, and electric power generation and transmission. He has extensive experience managing diesel emission reduction projects in the marine, agricultural, and on-road sectors. Mr. Facciola holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on energy and environment from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California Santa Barbara.

DEANN SARVER

DeAnn Sarver is a Director of Carbon Management Services at RMA and has over 18 years experience in the areas of greenhouse gas assessments, environmental management, corporate strategy and marketing, and business development. Ms. Sarver is a Lead Verifier qualified by the California Climate Action Registry for reporting and verifying greenhouse gas emissions inventories under the Landfill Methane Project and Livestock Methane Project protocols. Her work experience covers a broad range of industrial and government sectors mail and parcel delivery, landfill gas recovery, and universities and colleges. Ms. Sarver holds a B.A. in Aquatic Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

RYAN SCHAULAND

Ryan Schauland is a Carbon Emissions Specialist at RMA and has several years experience in the areas of green buildings and greenhouse gas assessments. Mr. Schauland is a US Green Building Council LEED® AP Accredited Professional. Mr. Schauland performs greenhouse gas inventory verification services for a broad range of clients. His work experience covers numerous industrial and government sectors including electric power generation and distribution, oil and gas processing and distribution, and university facilities. Mr. Schauland holds a B.S. with Honors in Environmental Studies and a B.A. with Honors in Geography, both from the University of California Santa Barbara.

BROOKE FARRELL

Brooke Farrell is a Carbon Emissions Specialist at RMA and has experience in environmental information systems. Her work experience covers a number of industrial and government sectors. Her experience includes diesel emission reduction projects in the agricultural, construction and material handling sectors. Ms. Farrell has a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Geography from the University of California Santa Barbara; and is the recipient of the university’s Outstanding Academic Achievement Award.

JAMIE BRITTO

Jamie Britto is a Senior Carbon Emissions Specialist at RMA and has experience in environmental management in the automotive and waste handling sectors. Her work experience includes ISO 14001 audit support. Ms. Britto has a Master of Environmental Science and Management degree from the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at the University of California Santa Barbara; and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Southern California. Also, Ms. Britto holds a Certificate in Management Practice from the University of California Technology Management Program.

TOBIN MASTER

Tobin Master is a Specialist at RMA, and has several years experience in the areas of air quality, climate change and data integration. Mr. Tobin Master has assisted with greenhouse gas emission inventory development and verification, the analysis of criteria air pollutants from a wide variety of emission sources, and heavy-duty diesel engine emission reduction for offroad vehicles. In addition, his experience includes data integration work as a summer intern for Chevron Information Technology Company’s Technical Services group within Enterprise Business Solutions Division. In the Fall 2009, Mr. Tobin Master expects to receive a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the California Polytechnic Institute (CalPoly) in San Luis Obispo, California.

DEREK MARKOLF

Derek Markolf is the Director of Carbon Projects at RMA and has more than nine years experience in the areas of greenhouse gas emission reduction projects, greenhouse gas assessments, climate change policy and strategy, diesel emission reduction projects, and chemical risk management.  Mr. Markolf is a Lead Verifier qualified by the California Climate Action Registry for reporting and verifying greenhouse gas emissions inventories under the following protocols: General Reporting, Power Utility, Landfill Methane Project, and Livestock Methane Project. His work experience covers a broad range of industrial and government sectors, including agricultural, waste management, and oil and natural gas transmission and distribution systems.  Most recently Mr. Markolf was a Senior Policy Manager for the California Climate Action Registry. Mr. Markolf holds a B.S. in Soil Science from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. 

JENNIFER FORONJY

Jennifer Foronjy is a Carbon Emissions Specialist at RMA with professional experience in protocol development for the reporting and verification of greenhouse gas emissions inventories in the electric utility sector, as well as experience in environmental information systems. Ms. Foronjy has a B.A. in International Relations from the University of San Diego. Her professionally-related coursework included International Business, Statistics, Organizational Development, Conflict Resolution, as well as Law Studies introductory courses; and she has completed advanced studies at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice, University of San Diego.
