Engine Repowers and
Equipment Retrofit Services
RMA has secured
millions of dollars of grant funds for equipment owners, fleet
operators and dealers, to replace and retrofit older diesel engines in offroad
equipment and vehicles. If you own, operate or service diesel offroad equipment, we
can help you to secure incentive funds to obtain new engines and
retrofit devices. The following types of offroad equipment are included in
these engine replacement programs:
-
Construction equipment (dozers,
scrapers, loaders, hoists, etc.)
-
Agricultural equipment (tractors,
harvesters, irrigation pumps, etc.)
-
Marine vessels (propulsion engines,
auxiliary engines)
-
Power generators (primary and auxiliary
power)
-
Material handling (fork lifts, hoists,
cranes, etc.)
-
Other onroad and offroad equipment (trucks, locomotives,
etc.)
These incentive
programs are a great way for fleet owners and operators to
modernize their equipment at very low cost. The grant programs often
cover 75% or more of the cost to replace an older diesel engine with a
new modern engine (for fully qualifying equipment with sufficient annual
use). The purpose of these grant funds is to reduce air pollution and
improve fuel economy, and to help equipment owners modernize their
fleets in advance of upcoming regulations. Access to grant funding is
competitive and not all qualified equipment will be funded.
Ryerson, Master and
Associates, Inc. is one of the leading companies in the field of engine replacement
and retrofits. We work with engines and equipment
manufactured by Cummins, John Deere, Perkins and other companies. By installing new engines, the value of your
equipment can be increased, and your fuel and maintenance costs are
often reduced. We provide a broad range of services for equipment
owners, operators and dealers, including:
-
Pre-screening of
diesel equipment for grant eligibility
-
Preparation of all
grant application paperwork
-
Advice on the
correct new engine to replace the existing engine
-
Identification of
required parts and process to install the new engine
-
Identification of
dealers and suppliers to replace the engine
RMA has extensive
project experience securing diesel engine grants and managing the
replacement of diesel engines in a wide range of offroad fleets. A few
examples of our experience are listed below:
-
RMA
designed and implemented an extensive program to replace diesel
engines in agricultural equipment operating in a three-county
central California region. Over 100 new engines were supplied to
agricultural operators during the program.
-
RMA secured
the funding and managed implementation of a large engine replacement
project in which supplied over 50 new engines
for fork lifts, tractors and pumps.
-
RMA
developed an innovative program to mitigate power plant pollution by
replacing old diesel engines in marine vessels, construction
equipment and agricultural equipment in the region. RMA secured the
funds, entered into project agreements with the equipment owners and
dealers, completed all required paperwork. This program exceed all
program targets, both in terms of total emission reductions and
number of engines replaced.
